I love making handmade cards. It provides a sense of control you don’t find when selecting pre-made cards. Whenever I choose to make a card for someone, I first think of the occasion. There are some occasions that you won’t find in a store. I’ve never seen a card that says, “Congratulations! Your team has made it to the Super Bowl!” But I can make that card. And when I make that card, it will be one of a kind with that team’s colors. Making handmade cards gives me that freedom. It also gives me the freedom to make the card on demand. If I am invited to a Super Bowl party and need a card the night before, I wouldn’t have to worry about rushing to a store. I can make the card.
